PEDESTRIANS
The estate welcomes visitors to Bovisand Park Private Estate where they have free access to all the areas to the seaward side of the road. The area to the left (beyond the shop) is for the exclusive use of the residents of the estate and is Private, apart for the green beside the toilets at West Point.
A part of the South West Coast Path goes through the estate and thousands of people a year follow this route in all weathers.
There are some lovely beaches particularly at low tide, and although they are not the easiest to get on, they are very popular. Many people use them for swimming, diving, paddle boarding and surfing. Others just enjoy sitting on the greens soaking up the views.
There is a café and shop which are open throughout the summer and often in the winter, also free toilets are available at both ends of the estate.
Members of the public cannot stay overnight, and camping is not allowed by anyone at any time.
Non-resident’s vehicles are not permitted to stay on the estate overnight and staying in vehicles overnight is not allowed at any time of the year.
Dogs are welcome but they must be kept under control, on a lead, at all times and owners/minders of dogs are required to clean up after their dogs. “Doggy-bins” are sited around the estate for this purpose. Dogs are not permitted on the beaches on the estate or areas designated by signs at any time of year; they are permitted on the public beach at nearby Bovisand Bay.
Music must not be played at a volume that disturbs others; any request to reduce the volume must be complied with and games should not impact on others. The estate owners would like everyone to be tolerant and understanding of each other and help them to maintain a peaceful environment for everyone.
Litter is a major and expensive problem on the estate and we would welcome the support of all visitors in picking up any litter they see and placing it in a black bin, as well as taking home their own litter when they leave the estate.
