Bovisand is close to Plymstock which is next to Plymouth. From the Plymouth direction take the A379 to cross the Laira Bridge to Plymstock, or from South Devon take the A379 to Plymstock.
From the A379 at Plymstock there are a number of routes south to Bovisand. Probably the easiest route is to turn south at the Elburton Inn roundabout on to Springfield Road (signposted to Bovisand and Wembury).
Continue on this road, which becomes Wembury Road, until the cross roads and then turn left on to Reservoir Road (again signposted to Bovisand and Wembury).
Stay on this road for about a mile and then turn right at the CO-OP Garage onto Staddiscombe Road (signposted to Staddiscombe and Bovisand).
Continue on this road until you reach “The Staddy Function Centre” on your left and turn left at the junction (Signposted to Down Thomas and Bovisand).
Continue on this road through Staddiscombe village, past the turning to Fort Bovisand and on until you reach a junction called Rack Corner which has signposts for Down Thomas, Bovisand and Heybrook Bay, turn right towards Down Thomas (On Renney Road).
As you reach Down Thomas, Whale Cottage is on your right, immediately turn right here down Bovisand Lane. Follow this road to its end at Bovisand Park Private Estate where there is a Pay and Display carpark.
If you are using a Satnav the postcode is PL9 0AE but beware the Satnav may take you to Fort Bovisand and not to Bovisand Park Private Estate. Don’t follow the signs to Fort Bovisand.
